Check out your options before you renew!

Back to Blog

I just found out an interesting statistic the other day. It is said that 85% of Canadians sign their mortgage renewal without outside advice.  Banks have gotten smart and not offered best discounted rates on renewal to increase their profits.
In my opinion, you should be seeking input from a mortgage broker or a mortgage specialist at another bank (if your mortgage is with a bank) on other rates and possible changes you might make when you renew, because this could save you thousands of dollars.

Mortgage brokers generally get paid by a lender to put a mortgage together for you. The broker takes your information and then shops it to the lenders, so they compete for your business. You can win big this way.

If you have any questions, give me or a mortgage broker or specialist a call. It could save you money!
