Quiet December Market

Back to Blog

Wow, talk about a slow-down in the Edmonton market.... at least for the month of December. I've been talking to a few other professionals, REALTORS® and lawyers, and they say the same thing. A lot of it is probably the time of year, people thinking Ho, Ho, Ho, not  Home, Home, Home.

The total number of listings in the Edmonton area has been decreasing but there are some good deals to be had. New homes are more affordable, while interest rates have dropped (again), and there is talk that they may come down some more in 2009.

If your renting, then maybe you should look at what your costs are compared to purchasing, to see if you could be saving some money and building equity.

Whatever your situation, always take a good look at your options and seek professional advice to help you when required. Informed decisions are the best decisions.
